What We Do

Septic Tank Pumping

Septic tank pumping removes the sludge and scum layers in the septic tank. When there is too much sludge or scum buildup these can enter the leach field and clog the lines. Clogged leach lines cause overflows and backed up sewers.

Septic System Inspections

Septic system inspection includes verification of the sludge and scum layer thickness and content, and ensure the system is functioning correctly and draining properly.

Leach Line Jetting

When the leach lines become clogged due to infrequent pumping, roots, or debris, jetting the leach lines with high pressure water can break up the clogs and restore infiltration of the septic tank effluent.

Camera Inspections

When there are unknown issues with the septic system, John's Septic Service can provide inspection of the septic system with a remote camera. This provides a visual identification of the issue, and allows easy determination of the physical location for repairs.

What You Can Do

  • Regular Inspections - The EPA recommends having your septic tank inspected at least every three years by a septic service professional.
  • Regular Service - Pumping frequency depends on many factors such as system size, family size, and the amount of water used. Household septic tanks typically need pumping every three to five years.
  • Pay Attention - Toilets aren't trash cans. Make sure you're only flushing human waste and toilet paper. Other items will not decompose and require pumping. Flushing other items can cause problems for your septic system.
  • Don't Flush These Items - Cooking grease or oil, Non-flushable wipes, such as baby wipes or other wet wipes, Photographic solutions, Feminine hygiene products, Condoms, Dental floss, Diapers, Cigarette butts, Coffee grounds, Cat litter, Paper towels, Pharmaceuticals, Household chemicals like gasoline, oil, pesticides, antifreeze, and paint or paint thinners.
